Yukichichibu Onsen
You’ll know you’re in the right spot when you pick up the smell of sulphur in the air. Somewhat off-putting at first but you’ll get used to it quickly. Located away from the crowds is this small and authentic feeling onsen. Make sure the windows stay open in the indoor area or you’ll be sure to feel a bit light headed. The unfiltered and completely natural onsen water will have your body and skin feeling rejuvenated.
With 2 indoor pools and 2 outdoor pools on the men’s side, the options are somewhat limited but the benefits from the sulphur in the water are unrivaled. Known to be very effective at treating aches and pains, this onsen is a must visit after a day of riding. Be sure to wash off after soaking if you don’t want the smell to linger though.
