Highland Furano
A seemingly popular onsen attached to the Highland Furano Hotel adjacent to Furano Ski Resort. It is clean and well kept, but definitely on the small side. Due to the small nature of the onsen it can feel quite busy and the smaller pools and sauna fill up quickly, especially during peak times.
The men's side has 1 large indoor man-made rock pool, a small outdoor rock pool, a small jacuzzi tub and a small “hotter” tub. The indoor pools have digital temperature displays, so as not to surprise you too much upon entry. The men’s side also includes a small cold pool and a small sauna. Temperatures seemed average with the large pool around 42 degrees Celsius and the smaller hot pool around 43 degrees Celsius.
Good value if you are staying in the Furano area and don’t want to travel too far.
