Hokkaido is famous for their cuisine worldwide and are known for special dishes such as Soup Curry, Fresh Crab, Local Dairy and even King Melon. There are many different styles of restaurants that specialize in one dish such as Ramen while others known as Izakaya’s provide a range of Japanese dishes to choose from. After backcountry snowboarding and skiing all over Hokkaido we searched for the best local cuisine that would overwhelm our taste buds. During our journey we discovered countless gems around Hokkaido and have presented them in a easy to navigate fashion.

Ippappa Chaya Fuwa is a family-run teahouse that specializes in a variety of Japanese dishes such as Katsu Curry, Shrimp Tempura and Buckwheat Soba Noodles.

RAMAI is famous for their soup curry, which is a light curry flavored soup that was invented in Sapporo.
